Daily Devotion 3/20/15

Acts 5:41 The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the Name.

They left the presence of their accusers praising God. How many of us can say the same? How many of us leave the presence of our enemies praising and glorifying God? Most of us leave the presence of our accusers/enemies struggling with our thoughts, struggling with our hearts’ desires. They left praising God because they felt worthy of being called Christians. They left praising God because they were found worthy of experiencing suffering in the name of Jesus. When people come against us because of our faith, when they dislike our existence because of our walk with Christ, we should feel blessed. We should feel honored, for this is a declaration that our belief of Jesus is being seen through our lives.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me live for You in all circumstances, in all situations, so others can see Your love and experience Your forgiveness.
