Daily Devotion 3/28/15

Acts 6:7 So the word of God spread. The number of disciples in Jerusalem increased rapidly, and a large number of priests became obedient to the faith.

Those who were willing to step forward and serve made it possible for the gospel to be spread among the people. They all set forth working in the areas that they were set apart to handle, and their efforts made it easier for the gospel to reach the masses while the care of those in need was not neglected. Their efforts, those who observed their efforts, were changed, and this change even occurred in the lives of some of the priests. We never know who we can affect while serving God until we put forth a serious effort. There might be someone who is waiting for you to reach them with the gospel message. There might be someone who will only understand the message because of your unique way of explaining its contents. Your effort, your daily willingness to serve God, is so important, sometimes more important than you realize.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me come to understand how important it is for me to serve You.
