Daily Devotion 3/4/15

Acts 4:27 Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.

They plotted against the disciples because they were in opposition to God. They were trying to halt the progression of the gospel because it meant that they were not going to be exalted in the ways they so relished. Many will come against us because of the gospel. Many will oppose us and our faith because they don’t feel the need to believe in God. This is their choice. This is their right. We must try to convince them otherwise, but we must also understand that we all have a choice, a choice to live for God or live for ourselves. Nobody can be forced into a relationship God. Nobody can be forced, but they will be forcing God to make a decision they will not be happy to receive.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me know how to rightly live for You.
