Daily Devotion 3/9/15

Acts 4:32 All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had.

It’s always amazing to consider the difference between the church as it first began and the church today. As they began walking powerfully with Christ, they also exhibited an amazing concern for each other. They were one in heart and mind. They shared their possessions with others when the need arrived, and they loved each other on an amazing level. Can the same be said of the church today? In some circumstances, the answer might be positive, but in many others it does not even come close. We have lost sight of the reason for the church. We have lost, in many cases, the vision that the church once held in high esteem. We need to get back to the basics, changing the way we see the church functioning, the way we see it existing. For if we don’t, can it realistically claim to be a church focused on God?

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me guide Your church in the right direction.
