Daily Devotion 4/13/15

Acts 8:26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road–the desert road–that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”

Every day we walk upon this earth, we are expected to follow instructions. There isn’t a single aspect of our daily, active lives that is not confined by instructions. Sometimes we follow these instructions, and sometimes we feel the need to ignore their guidance. In other words, we make the choice to live by our own rules or those that are governed to assist us in our existence. Philip chose to follow the instructions of God. Maybe he had other plans. Maybe he had something important he wanted to do that day, at that time. Even so, he chose to listen to God; and because of that, God used him in a powerful way. Following the instructions/guidance of God is a personal choice, but it’s a choice that will affect us for all eternity.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me understand how important it is to follow Your guidance on a daily basis.
