Daily Devotion 4/6/15

Acts 8:4-6 Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said.

Even though the church was scattered, even though they feared for their lives, they continued to serve and proclaim salvation and forgiveness through Christ. Sometimes it’s hard for us to take a stand and proclaim the gospel. Sometimes it’s hard to tell others that they will spend an eternity in Hell if they do not turn to Christ. Sometimes it’s hard, but we must find the courage to make it happen. We must find the courage to share the gospel just as they did after the church scattered. For if we don’t, the church will begin to fade and become a useless entity or in the least become filled with actors instead of servants.

Prayer Starter:

Lord, help me become serious about my relationship with You.
