Book Review: Whisper

Whisper cover

Whisper: How to Hear the Voice of God, written by Mark Batterson, published by Waterbrook & Multnomah, is a book designed for those attempting to discern whether or not God is speaking to them.

Many people today wonder if God still speaks to Christians. If He stills makes Himself known people today. For those who question, Mark Batterson has the answer. He believes that God still speaks, but we need to learn how to listen properly.

Mark states in this book that a whisper from God has the ability to change our lives in powerful ways. Knowing how to hear God can bring about miracles, bold visions, and proper directions. Mark’s desire is to help his readers understand that hearing God can become a natural occurrence for believers.

Mark does this by introducing seven different ways that God speaks to His children and the need to have a whispering spot, a specific place to listen to God’s voice.

This book addresses/answers the questions that Christians have about God speaking to us today, thus it is a recommended purchase for those who want to hear more clearly the voice of God.
