Life loves to throw us for a loop, even though we would rather be sitting in the chair of contentment. Life loves to make things interesting, even though we would prefer the casual or maybe even the mundane. Life is what it is, and all we can really do is live it. To each will come days filled with joy and elation, while to all days of havoc will arrive from time to time. Life can bring us down, hold us back, and pull us away from Christ, but only if we allow it. Christians have the ability to overcome anything life sets before them. Christians have this ability because of the mercy and love of God. To those who overcome, to those who are willing to trust in God, the glories and splendors of Heaven will, one day, be opened. For those who seek their own directions and solutions in life, however, they already have their rewards.

Lord, help me to believe enough in You to take a powerful stand within this world, trusting You in all circumstances, all situations.
